Christine has been practicing yoga since 1999. She is a passionate teacher who genuinely desires the success and happiness of her students – both on and off the mat. Christine took her first teacher training in southern India in 2007 with a Swami who challenged her to start asking the “big questions” about life. She took her second teacher’s training through Gaiatri Yoga where her teacher, Ally Bogard, enabled her to start discovering the answers to those “big questions” by connecting to her own heart. In 2011, she attained her 500-hour advanced teacher’s training through a mystical yoga school in Guatemala, delving into shamanism, Mayan prophecy, tantra and mysticism. As a result, Christine’s practice and consequently her teaching, shifted to include the emotional, mental and spiritual bodies on a more profound level.
Christine’s studentship and teachership of the practice of yoga was initiated by a skiing accident. During the year long recovery from a resulting knee injury and subsequent surgery, she developed a deep respect for how proper alignment can heal us. For this reason, Christine’s practices have a strong emphasis on alignment while still being playful, challenging, and grounding. Her classes are frequently injected with breath work, meditation and a good dose of laughter. Christine is inspired to practice and teach in order to connect with each other in a meaningful way, see more clearly, love more deeply, and commit to showing the highest version of our selves to the world.
