Practicing and teaching yoga almost happened at the same time for me. A friend who was a yoga teacher urged me to try yoga, she would say 'Sasha you are yoga – you just don't know it yet!' After just a few classes I signed up for my teacher training. There was an undeniable feeling of belonging, fueled by a desire to connect with something I knew laid dormant within me waiting to be evoked. Like a lifelong thirst finally quenched, I saw and felt myself through the practice of yoga for the first time. My practice and teaching is inspired by the the power, grace, and boundless energy of nature and life. How it all fuses, manifests and evolves in such a sweet and joyful way, I can't help but be madly in love with it all. I call it the twinkle effect! After a practice I feel and see such aliveness in myself, in the students, it's so contagious, so pure, our eyes literally twinkle! Simply put, for me, yoga is life! What I discover is what I teach, how I practice is how I live…Oh if those two little heel prints in my mat could talk! I am grateful daily that in this moment in this life I am able to live my purpose, to connect with so many sweet souls who step on their mat with me each day.
